Part 1

  1. The Variables in this dataset are Father ornamentation and son attractiveness.
  2. Father ornamentation range- 0.03-1.12 Son attractiveness range- -0.32-1.23
  3. There is slight positive correlation

  1. Yes this makes sense that fathers and sons should be alike to some extent.

Part 2

  1. The variables are number of pirates, global average temperture, and year
  2. Ranges: year- 1820-2000 global avg temp- 14.25-15.95 number of pirates- 17-45000
  3. There is strong negative correlation between year and number of pirates and number of pirates and avg global temp, but strong positive correlation between year and avg global temp.

  1. This makes sense because as the years go, global temperaure rises, while number of pirates go down by year and as global temperature increases.

Part 3

  1. The variables in this data set pertain to different aspects of life like income, life quality, generosity, GINI (distribution of income), health, life ladder (position in life), and more. These data points are useful to determine quality of life and its correlation to mannarisms.
  2. Some of the strongest positive correlations in this data set are social support, healthy life expectancy at birth, freedom to make life choices, and positive effect.
  3. This makes sense as these are all positive items that would contribute to a positive effect and a higher quality of life.
  4. Some of the strongest negative correlations would be things like freedom to generosity, or healthy life expectancy to GINI index, or social support to negative effect. Or even just positive effect to negative effect.
  5. This makes sense as well because a positive item would be negatively correlated with a negative item. For generosity, one may be more inclined to be generous if they have a lower life quality.

Part 4

  1. https://www.kaggle.com/fedesoriano/heart-failure-prediction
  2. The variables in this data set pertain to predictions of heart failure. There are variables like max heart rate, resting blood pressure, age, and more that can be correlated.
  3. There is positive correlation between resting blood pressure and age, as well as age and choleserol levels. Also, cholesterol levels and blood pressure.
  4. This makes sense because as you get older, these things can raise easier.
  5. There is negative correlation between age and max heart rate, as well as age and heart disease.
  6. This makes sense because younger people tend to have higher max heart rates and better health.
