How Sharing Dashboard, Note, Chart, Data, Project at Exploratory Server Works?
You can publish the following content to Exploratory Server and share with others.
- Dashboard
- Note
- Chart
- Analytics
- Data
- Project
Once the publish is done your published content is set to Private mode by default.
You can click 'Share Setting' in the notification dialog to open the content in a web browser to setup the sharing option.
Once the content is opened you can choose how you want to share them with others.
You can open this Share Setting dialog by clicking on 'Share' button anytime.
Private Mode
You can type email addresses for those whom you want to share with. You can also type in team names so that you can share with all the members that belong to the team.
Once you have shared, a notification email will be sent to them. They can click a link inside the email to open the published content such as Dashboard, Note, etc.
If they don't have their accounts they can create FREE accounts from the login window at Exploratory website.
Public Mode
If you want to share with everybody in the world you can enable the Public mode.
Once it becomes public, it can be shown up at the content search result at Exploratory and can be shown up by the public search engines such as Google.
Share URL
If you want to share with only limited number of people but don't want to make them create Exploratory's FREE accounts, you can enable 'URL Share' mode.
Once it's enabled you can send the URL to those whom you want to share with, and they can click the link to open the content without logging in.
The content with the URL Share mode won't show up on the content search result and won't be shown up in the public search engines such as Google.
