Exploratory v9 Theme: Without Number, you're just another person with an opinion.

Few are aware of the secret behind Japan's remarkable economic growth in the post-WW2 era, all the way up to the late 1980s.

In the late 1950s when Japan was still occupied by the American army, General MacArthur invited a statistician named Edwards Deming to Japan. Deming introduced 'Statistical Quality Control' to the CEOs of several budding Japanese manufacturing companies of that era.

This concept later evolved into the renowned PDCA framework, with which many might be familiar. It laid the foundation for continuous improvements of quality and innovation driven culture that lead the explosive economic growth throughout the 60s, 70s, and 80s, primarily fueled by manufacturing giants like Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, and others.

We hold immense respect and appreciation for the monumental contributions of Edward Deming, the eminent statistician. His impact extends not only to Japan but also globally, emphasizing not just the importance of Statistical Quality Control but also the principle that organizations and individuals can perpetually evolve to realize their maximum potential through data and statistics.

In tribute to his profound influence and lasting impact on the world, we've chosen the theme for our next release, Exploratory v9, to be: 'Without Number, you're just another person with an opinion.'

This theme is inspired by one of our favorite quotes of his, which originally states:

Anyway, we've started working on Exploratory v9 since September 2023 focusing on the new features that will help you create performance metrics (or KPI), monitor them, and interact with them in a much more simple & intuitive way!

And now we have finally released (as of December 2023)!
