I have calculated the growth rate of the population between 2015 and 2005 for each local government area in Australia. We can see that Western Australia has grown almost 160% since 2005 among the highest.
The data is originally from 'Population growth of 2014–2015 for Australian Local Government Areas' data that was downloaded from Australian Bureau of Statistics. (http://www.abs.gov.au/AUSSTATS/abs@.nsf/DetailsPage/3218.02014-15?OpenDocument)
I have downloaded State and Territory boudaries data in ESRI Shapefile format from this page (http://www.abs.gov.au/AUSSTATS/abs@.nsf/DetailsPage/1259.0.30.001July%202011?OpenDocument) at Australian Bureau of Statistics, and converted it to GeoJSON for Map.
