How can I make a payment?
There are the following two options.- You can register your credit card and pay directly on your account setting page.
- Upon your request, we can issue a quote / an invoice with an instruction for the payment. You can pay by a bank wiring or with a credit card. You can pay for bulk users with a single payment as well. Please take a look at ‘How to Buy Exploratory Subscription License with Invoice’ for more details.
Can I buy multiple subscription licenses together?
Yes, you can! Upon your request, we’ll issue an invoice for multiple subscription licenses for multiple users. You can use either a credit card or a bank wiring for the payment. In case of purchasing of Exploratory Desktop subscription license, we support only for the Business plan and above.
What happens when I change my subscription plan periods between Yearly and Monthly?
If you change the subscription plan period from Monthly to Yearly, the plan will start from the date you update through the next 12 month periods. The prorated amount for the rest of the month is subtracted from the amount charged for the newly starting Yearly plan. If you change it from Yearly to Monthly, then the amount for the rest of the year is credited to your account and will be used for upcoming monthly charges until it is used up, at which time charges for the monthly plan will resume. Note that given the Yearly plan has a discount compared to the Monthly plan, the charges for the monthly plan will resume sooner than the end of the original yearly plan.
What happens when I upgrade or downgrade my subscription plan between Personal and Business?
When you downgrade, the prorated amount difference for the rest of the period (year or month) will be subtracted from the charge for the new plan at the beginning of the next period. When you upgrade, the prorated amount difference for the rest of the period will be added to the charge for the new plan at the beginning of the next period.
How can I cancel my plan?
You can cancel the plan anytime from your account page with just a click of a button. Your subscription will expire at the end of the current subscription period.
I have very sensitive data. Is my data safe?
Any data you import into Exploratory Desktop always stays on your PC and never leaves your PC unless you explicitly publish (share) it to the Exploratory Server. If you decide to publish the data to Exploratory Server for sharing or scheduling, you can share it in a private and secure way so that only the members you have explicitly invited can access it. The data is also stored encrypted. Please take a look at our Privacy Policy for more details.
If you’d like to publish your contents to share/schedule but you are not comfortable using our shared Exploratory Server environment, we’d recommend you consider the On-Prem version of the Exploratory Server, which you can install at your managed server instance. How can I share my contents with others privately?
You can invite others to view your contents (Data, Chart, or Note) privately by email addresses. They will receive an invitation email, and they can click the link to open your contents at Exploratory Cloud. If they don’t have the accounts created yet, they will be asked to create free accounts before opening your contents. They don’t need to subscribe to any plan as long as they just want to view the shared contents. If they like to use Exploratory Desktop to customize the contents or create new ones, then they will need to subscribe to one of the plans at this point.
How many users can I share my contents (Chart / Data / Note)?
If you like to share with anybody without asking them to create the accounts, then you could share a uniquely generated URL for each content with them. This is a convenient way to share with a mass audience, though this means anybody happens to have this URL can open the contents. There is no limitation of how many people can access your contents with this URL share option.
You can also share your contents publicly with an unlimited number of people regardless of the plan you subscribe to.
Can I share my contents with others privately?
You can invite others with their Exploratory user account names or their email addresses so that they can view your contents (Data, Chart, Dashboard, and Note) privately. They will receive invitation emails, and they can click a link inside the email to open the shared contents at the Exploratory Server.
If they don’t have Exploratory user accounts created yet, they will be asked to create free accounts before opening your content. They don’t need to subscribe to any paid plan nor enter credit card information as long as they just want to view the shared contents.
How can I perform the data analysis on the open/public data?
You can use the Exploratory Public for that purpose. With the Exploratory Public, all your projects and data will be saved publicly on exploratory.io. See here for more details. Please see here for more FAQs.
